Personal Training in Portland, OR
Personal Training at Our Portland Area Physical Therapy Clinics
When you’ve completed your physical therapy program, it’s important to stay active. But staying motivated can be challenging. At c.h. Physical Therapy, we help many of our physical therapy clients stay accountable for their health after their programs are complete. How? By offering customized personal training at our Portland area clinics.
Personal training is a great way to:
- Manage fat loss
- Build strength
- Increase your athletic performance
- Increase your endurance
- Keep the gains you made during physical therapy
What to Expect When You Turn to c.h. Physical Therapy for Personal Training
Just like in physical therapy, a highly trained Doctor of Physical Therapy will supervise you during personal training. But personal training is different – your program will focus exclusively on exercise training and not include any physical therapy-specific modalities (e.g., manual therapy).
Your first session begins with a 30-minute personal training consultation. During that time, we’ll talk with you about your goals, personal limitations, current exercise/nutrition habits and medical history. Then, we’ll create a customized training plan for you based on your needs. We’ll base your plan on precise orthopedic techniques, which work to maximize results as quickly as possible while keeping you safe.
The training program begins at the next session. You’ll do focused resistance training, stretching and endurance training. We’ll also help you eat healthier by giving you basic dietary guidance. Most clients exercise independently with their programs, doing one-hour sessions once per week for four to 12 weeks and then following up as needed.
How Much Does Personal Training Cost?
Your 30-minute personal training consultation is $55. Each training session is $80 (for one person) or $110 (for two people). “Graduates” of physical therapy receive a special discounted rate on training: $375 for five sessions or $750 for 10 sessions. You’ll get a free training session for each person you refer to c.h. Physical Therapy.
