Exercise Therapy

To help our patients learn their exercises, we provide a library of videos demonstrating how to perform them safely and effectively. While this library is not a complete list of all the exercises we teach, it does include many of the primary exercises we use when helping patients recover from a variety of health problems.

The manner in which patients should perform exercises is absolutely critical to maximize benefit and minimize injury risk. We often hear from patients that they've tried physical therapy before but haven't seen benefit, becoming bored during the process. Only when patients are shown how to perform exercises in a manner consistent with orthopedic/sports medicine principles and closely monitored during execution can the benefits appreciated.

If you are not a current patient of c.h. Physical Therapy, we strongly recommend that you do not attempt to perform any of our exercises without formal recommendation from one of our physical therapists so as to avoid potential injury. The exercises shown have specific rationale and yield definitive benefits when performed in conjunction with a complete therapy program that must be customized to each patient's needs. The only way this can be done is through an initial evaluation followed by focused PT sessions on learning proper technique.
